WHY WE’RE PROTESTING
The Allan Government has wasted public time and taxpayer money on an inquiry into the Personal Adult Use of Cannabis Bill — all while knowing they would never support its recommendations because it didn’t fit Labor’s political agenda.
The Victorian Government claims to support diversion programs and harm reduction, but these policies still criminalise ordinary people and continue to be used as revenue-raising tools.
Expert evidence presented to the Inquiry was ignored.
Personal stories of harm under current laws were brushed aside.
Victorians are tired of political spin. Cannabis consumers are not criminals, yet we continue to be treated like second-class citizens.
It’s time to stop the political games and end the hypocrisy.
It’s time to change outdated laws that punish, rather than protect, law-abiding Australians.
